Lot 41 1923 US Peace Silver Dollar
This 1923 US Peace silver dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse features Liberty wearing a radiate crown with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1923. The reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock inscribed PEACE, clutching an olive branch, set against the rays of a rising sun. Reverse legends include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. There is no mint mark present on the reverse.
